    Marianne L'Heureux Artist Biography

    Marianne L'Heureux is a professional artist living in New Mexico, the United States, and is an American and Canadian citizen.  Having been raised in the Philippines and Japan, she has family in the United States, and in Québec, Canada. She is a former engineer for fourteen years and uses her training in materials science to enhance her art using techniques in gold and silver leaf in her artwork. In September 2019 she opened up L'Heureux Fine Art Gallery in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in 2020, due to the pandemic, the gallery closed.

    Marianne is known for incorporating gold and silver leaf in her art works.  Trained in the Atelier School of Art in Japan, her teachers were Dr Pak No Soo, Tokyo, Japan, [oriental brush technique]; and Gaston Petit Atelier, Tokyo Japan. 

     ​​L’Heureux speaks the following languages: English, French, and Japanese and some other languages.

    She designs and maintains her own websites, and also creates her own videos with music on the you-Tube channel: Marianne

    Projects for Educational Venues

    • The Smithsonian Museum Film Division is using L'Heureux's painting/image of "Estevanico 1539" in an historical film presentation of the 1527 Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca expedition to North America under Pánfilo de Narváez.  The "Estevanico 1539" will also be published in Smithsonian educational materials.
